Antonov, a vehicle
technology company specialising in the design and development of
automatic transmission systems, has opened a new engineering centre
near Warwick.
Smiths Detection, a division of Smiths Group, has been awarded three two-year contracts
totalling $58.3m from a US Government agency for high-energy cargo
screening solutions.
Sars Corp has expanded its international network of Automatic Identification
System (AIS) sites with the addition of five sites in Chile, and three
in Mexico. The AIS sites, part of the SARS Marinetrac service, enable
ports to track offshore vessels.
As it struggles to keep its financial head above water, Standard
Pacific Homes in recent weeks liquidated its real estate position in
several markets. Its lots and home units have been scooped up by
builders and developers whose purchases demonstrate there's still room
for optimism in the worst of times.
