The objective of this competition is to test the degree of inspiration among interested in civil engineering and challenge their status by providing a study of design and construction of a mountain rising 1000 feet within shortest time and least cost. If you are interested, please click here! 

 

Terms of Competition:

 

1. Technical proposal include the technical scenario of the project in details e.g. description of construction method, project time plan,  work schedule,…etc
2. Elevation of the artificial mountain must be 1000 feet.
3. Top of the mountain area should not less than 60X60m
4. There must be paved road up to the summit
5. The area of creativity is open to the use of any materials and equipment suitable for building the mountain
6. The project site within the Emirate of Abu Dhabi
7. Contribution in this competition can be individually or collectively 
8. Deadline for submission of project proposals 1/12/2008.
9. Reward of $ 20,000 U.S. dollars for the winner study.
10.  Study evaluation will depend mainly on the following element

a-      Technical proposal

b-     Shorter time duration

c-      Creativity of the construction method.
