Hi admin,
is there anybody who is using SAP 2000?!?

Currently I am writing my master thesis and I would like to create a 3D Model with SAP 2000 which represents a masonry building.
One topic of my thesis is, to calculate the principal stress in my building under a earthquake. Therefore, I am using the time history analyse.
And my model works without mistakes but I am not sure, if my results are corect. I get results for Stresses (S11, S12, S22) and the displacements BUT I don't get any values for the Stress Smax. And I think thats what I need. Smax represents the principal stress, is it?!? Or could you explain me, why I don't get the stress Smax?!?

My principal stress Smax of my model is just yellow, so all the joints and the elements are zero. Do you think it is possible to send you a picture of my model or to send you my 3D model???

Thank you.
Best wishes form Germany.:confused::(

I think you mentioned about the stresses in your frame elements? Did you try to run any load combination? You can post your results in here so other engineers can help.
