I just graduated in May with my Bachelor's degree in civil engineering. I also passed the FE and received my certification as an EI. The problem is that I can't find a job! I probably emailed hundreds of resumes and cover letters. I also tried to snail mail a few to see if I get a different response...actually any kind of response. It seems to me that the only way to get a job is to know someone. I, unfortunately, do not have parents that are engineers nor is anyone else in my family an engineer. I'm starting to get discouraged because I have not heard any positive news and the economy doesn't look like it's getting any better. I have been job hunting for 2 months now, but it feels like forever. I'm thinking about getting a part time job just to have something to do and to earn some kind of money. What kind of part time job should I get that would help with my resume? Also, is there any kind of advice you can give me regarding job hunting and everything else? I'm desperate. Thanks.

We are very sorry to hear that.... Knowing someone should help but not the most important. You may search job position in some job website. Where do you live?
